A Worcester teabowl and saucer

Circa 1772-75.
Of simple form, printed in black with the arms of Cocks within a rococo cartouche issuing foliate tendrils, within black line rims, the saucer 12.8cm diam (2)

See The Joseph M Handley Collection (1991), p 189, fig 7.2 for a related teapot stand. The service was possibly made for Charles Cocks, (1725-1806), who was M.P for Reigate and was created baronet on 7 October 1772 and Lord Somers of Evesham in May 1784
