A Rare Pair Of Irish 22-Bore Flintlock Duelling Pistols
By Divine, Thomas, Dublin, Late 18th Century

Reconverted from percussion, with octagonal sighted barrels each engraved 'Dublin' in gothic letters along the top flat, engraved tangs, signed flat bevelled locks (some pitting) each engraved with foliage at the tail, figured full stocks (one fore-end with minor repair) with rounded flat-sided butts, brass mounts comprising trigger-guards each with acorn finial and engraved with a flower-head on the bow, turned ramrod-pipes, and later brass-tipped ramrods, Dublin (?) proof marks (2)
