The first with shortened russet barrel, engraved tang, signed flat bevelled lock (safety-catch missing), figured full stock (reduced, incomplete along one side) with rounded butt, and border engraved brass mounts comprising shaped side-plate and trigger-guard, the latter engraved with a martial trophy on the bow (iron parts rust patinated, ramrod missing); the second of characteristic form, the action signed within an oval on a martial trophy on one side, and figured flat-sided butt (some wear and rust patination overall), Birmingham proof marks (2)
