A 32-Bore Flintlock Pistol With Left-Hand Lock
The Lock By Durs Egg, Early 19th Century

With octagonal sighted barrel, plain tang, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock (cock and mainspring replaced) from a sporting gun and decorated with a gamebird and gundog on the stepped tail, roller bearing on a ramp on the steel-spring, figured full stock with rounded butt (repaired above the tail of the lock), plain iron trigger-guard, and later horn-tipped ramrod (iron parts with some rust patination), Birmingham proof marks
