A 50-Bore Percussion Box-Lock Pistol, And A Cased 40-Bore Percussion Box-Lock Travelling Pistol
The First Signed Bourne, The Second Signed Pritchard, Both Mid-19th Century

The first with turn-off barrel engraved around the muzzle and fitted with spring bayonet beneath, foliate scroll engraved action signed on one side, sliding trigger-guard engraved with scrolling foliage and retaining some original blueing, chequered figured rounded butt, and vacant white-metal escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks; the second with twist octagonal sighted barrel engraved around the muzzle, foliate scroll engraved action (hammer spur repaired) and trigger-guard, chequered figured rounded butt, ovoidal butt-trap with hinged engraved circular cover, vacant white-metal escutcheon, and stirrup ramrod (some wear overall): in later lined and fitted case, the interior of the lid with reproduction William Ross trade label, the exterior with vacant circular brass escutcheon , Birmingham proof marks (2)
