A Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss
Early 19th Century

With two-stage barrel with iron ring around the turned and belled muzzle and fitted with spring bayonet above (return spring replaced), engraved tang, foliate scroll engraved flat lock with roller, figured full stock (split at the rear of the lock, fore-end with repairs) with chequered grip, border engraved brass mounts decorated with scrolling foliage and comprising butt-plate and scroll trigger-guard with pineapple finial, vacant white-metal escutcheon, sling loops, and later brass-tipped ramrod (some wear overall)
