With browned twist damascus sighted barrels of exceptional quality, case-hardened breeches engraved with a scallop shell between two gold lines above and below on the rib between, long case-hardened tang engraved with scrolling foliage, border engraved case-hardened locks each signed in gothic script and decorated with scrolling foliage, dolphin hammers en suite, varnished highly figured half-stock with chequered grip, foliate scroll engraved blued steel mounts comprising butt-plate and serial numbered trigger-guard, engraved blued trigger-plate and rear ramrod-pipe, the former with pineapple-finial, silver barrel-bolt escutcheon, original steel-tipped ramrod, and in very fine condition retaining nearly all its original finish: in contemporary brass-mounted lined and fitted mahogany case with some accessories including unusual powder-flask with planished bag-shaped body, brass top with fixed charge nozzle and knurled brass cap also forming a powder-measure, shot-flask with black leather body, and unopened packets of Eley's 'Universal Shot Cartridge' and 'Double Waterproof ... Percussion Caps', the inside of the lid with illustrated trade label of R. Watmough, Manchester, the exterior with vacant circular escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks and maker's mark 'WP'
