An Allen & Thurber 120-Bore Percussion Pocket Pistol
No. 287, Dated 1837

With two-stage barrel, octagonal breech stamped 'Patented', '1837' and 'Cast steel' on three flats, rounded foliate engraved action, bar-hammer stamped 'Allens Patent' on one side, trigger-guard, butt with figured rounded grips, and traces of blueing (minor surface rust)
