With nickel-plated octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'Patented Sept. 14. 1858 E. Remington & sons. Ilion. New York. U.S.A. New Model' along the flat, nickel-plated cylinder, frame with grooved top-strap and hinged loading-gate, rammer, sliding cartridge-extracting rod, nickel-plated brass trigger-guard, and rounded grips (some bruising, some wear and light pitting overall, nickeled finish later)
