A .44 S&W (Russian) Smith & Wesson First Model Six-Shot Double-Action Centre-Fire Revolver
No. 48362, Circa 1881-1900

With recoloured hinged sighted barrel stamped with manufacturer's details and patent dates along the raised sighting rib and '.44 S. & W. CTG.' on one side at the breech, pivoting down for loading and automatically operating the sprung cartridge-extractor, recoloured fluted cylinder, frame with chequered sprung barrel-catch, D-shaped trigger-guard, and chequered hard-rubber grips (one partly filed off) each with S&W monogram impression (some wear and refinished overall)
