A Pair Of Liège 50-Bore Percussion Pistols
By Michel Berleur Of Liège, Early 19th Century

Converted from flintlock, with rebrowned twist swamped octagonal sighted poly-groove rifled barrels, plain breeches, foliate engraved tangs each with two engraved folding leaf back-sights, flat bevelled detented locks each signed in script, figured full stocks each with chequered panel on either side of the butt and with octagonal pommel, the former each with an iron plate along the spine, iron mounts comprising foliate engraved shaped side-nail plates, octagonal pommel-plates each engraved with a flowerhead on a flat oval, foliate engraved trigger-guards each with urn-shaped foliate finial, faceted ramrod-pipes, the rear ones with finial en suite with the trigger-guards, white-metal barrel-bolt escutcheons, set triggers, and iron ramrods, probably original (some wear overall) (2)
