A Small Spanish 28-Bore Miquelet-Lock Pistol
Late 18th Century

With russet two-stage barrel turned at the muzzle and girdle, octagonal breech stamped with a cross and three other marks, plain tang and lock (steel spring incomplete), moulded figured full stock (minor damage) with rounded pommel and lightly carved behind the barrel tang, mounts comprising brass side-plate held by brass pins and roughly engraved with a trophy of arms, iron trigger-guard, brass trigger-plate with pierced and engraved foliate finial, turned brass ramrod-pipes, and wooden ramrod (some wear and rust patination)
