A French 12 MM Perrin & Delmas Patent Six-Shot Self-Cocking Rim-Fire Revolver
No. 464, Circa 1860

With sighted barrel, short octagonal breech, plain cylinder and frame, the latter stamped 'Perrin & Cie Bte' on one side and 'Paris' on the other, slender hinged loading-gate (probably replaced) and sprung safety-stop, arbor pin held by a collar around the barrel, scroll trigger-guard, butt-cap with lanyard swivel, and highly figured rounded butt (minor rust patination)

Louis Perrin & Cie is recorded as a gunmaker and inventor in Paris from 1845. The company was awarded medals at the Great Exhibition in London of 1851 and at the Paris Exhibition of 1855
