An 18-Bore Light Dragoon Flintlock Service Pistol
Circa 1800

With plain barrel and tang, the latter stamped with a crowned '14', border engraved flat bevelled lock (comb of cock, top jaw and retaining screw replaced), figured full stock (minor repairs around the retaining pins) stamped with Ordnance Storekeeper's mark dated 1800 behind the apron around the barrel tang, and with initials 'WC' opposite the lock, regulation brass mounts including trigger-guard incised 'XLD I 37' (for 10th Light Dragoons), and iron ramrod, probably original (barrel and lock with light rust patination), King's proof marks
