An 18-Bore New Land Pattern Flintlock Service Pistol
Early 19th Century

With plain russet barrel and tang, flat bevelled russet lock with 'GR' crowned and 'Tower' across the tail, the latter sparsely engraved with foliage, ring-neck cock, raised pan, and originally fitted with a safety-catch, figured full stock stamped with Ordnance Storekeeper's mark above the tail of the lock, numbered '50' and with indistinct initials opposite the lock, regulation brass mounts, and stirrup ramrod (iron parts with some rust patination), King's proof marks
