A French 13-Bore 1822 Model Percussion Military Pistol
No. 55, Dated 1855

With sighted rifled barrel dated and serial numbered at the breech, retained by a brass barrel band also forming the ramrod-entry and linked to the side-plate, tang with back-sight and etched 'Mle 1822', steel extension down the back of the butt, flat bevelled lock etched 'Mre Imp.ale de Tulle', figured half-stock (some bruising) serial numbered, stamped 'Mutzig' and with circular arsenal mark opposite the lock, regulation brass mounts including rounded pommel with iron suspension ring, and associated steel ramrod (some wear and rust patination)
