With plain circular gear-box with raised angular tapering central bar, clawed ratchet bar incised with the date, slender winding arm of diamond section with notched and incised line decoration and turned swelling wooden handle, retaining its pierced brass claw-plate (belt hook missing), and original cord retaining loop
