A 1751 Pattern Sword Of The Jersey Militia, And Another Of The Huntingdon Militia
Both Circa 1760

The first with straight fullered blade (some rust patination and cutting edge nicks, point reduced), brass hilt comprising heart-shaped guard with two rounded bars swept-up to join the knuckle-guard, the former engraved 'M=Jersey' and numbered '3/14', short rounded rear quillon, globular pommel with flattened button, and swelling spirally twist brass grip; the second of similar form, with slightly curved single-edged blade in similar condition to the last, the guard engraved 'M=Huntingdon' and '6/21' (2)
