A Silver-Hilted Small-Sword
Indistinct Silver Marks, Circa 1730

With sharply tapering blade of hollow triangular section (some pitting overall) retaining traces of etched decoration on each side at the forte, characteristic hilt cast and chased with designs of strapwork and foliage against finely punched grounds and comprising double shell-guard, slender arms, scrolled rear quillon, knuckle-guard (worn or replaced), rounded pommel, and grip bound with twisted silver wire
