An Indian All-Steel Kard, And An Indian Ankus
Both 19th Century

With long finely watered single-edged blade (extreme tip missing) damascened with gold scrollwork on each side at the forte, and faceted steel hilt of slightly tapering octagonal section damascened with scrolling gold foliage (some wear and minor rust patination); the second of iron, the head with tapering spike and slightly recurved hook each of diamond section, and integral turned and faceted socket of tapering circular section, on wooden haft with turned knob-shaped terminal (surface rust patination) (2)
