With curved watered pipe-back blade double-edged towards the point, the forte on one side damascened in gold with a cartouche and two panels each involving Arabic calligraphy, silver-mounted hilt decorated overall with foliate designs against wrigglework grounds and comprising quillon-block with pointed langets and button quillon terminals, faceted grip bound with wire at the base, beaked pommel-cap set with a turquoise-coloured bead, and silver knuckle-chains centred on a red coral bead, in original wooden scabbard covered in red buff-leather with shaped silver locket, chape and suspension mount decorated en suite with the hilt, the chape (terminal replaced) inhabited by serpent along one side, and with two rings for suspension
