MUSIC - RICHARD WAGNER

A parcel-gilt bronze death mask of Richard Wagner mounted on a stepped rectangular plaque, 432 x 347mm., [n.d.]; a group of 7 documents, letters and draft telegrams relating to Wagner, including two summonses for the composer to appear as a witness against Breitkopf and Härtel in court at Bayreuth, one with a 5-line autograph endorsement signed ("Richard Wagner"), asking for the time of his summons to be changed, and a letter to Wagner on behalf of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, congratulating the composer following the King's attendance at a rehearsal the previous day for the first Bayreuth festival; a group of 8 commemorative medals depicting the composer, most with scenes from his works on verso (small quantity)
