Included in the lot is a letter of 1894 sending Lewis £110,000 "in exchange of which please send me the letter of H.R.H.", and three letters by the future Edward VII when Prince of Wales, one asking Lewis to "pay the sum of £110,000 in your hands in such manner as I have personally directed you", another thanking him for dealing with the business.
