The first of a farmer supporting a long-tailed cockerel on his shoulder whilst it feeds on a bunch of grapes, his young son standing at this feet and clutching a long bamboo pole, signed koichi, 22cm (8 5/8in) high; the other depicting the fight between Benkei and Ushiwakamaru on the Gojo bridge, signed in a tsuishu lacquer reserve Kyozan, 10.2cm (4in) high. (2).
