Both standing, one with its head raised and beak open, 21cm (8¼in) high; its companion with its neck craned forward, 11½cm (4½in) high; their eyes painted black, on a black lacquered wood stand, 39½cm (15½in) long, with tomobako, the inside of the lid signed and sealed by the artist, Kobayashi Joho saku with seal Joho. (4).
