A large bronze model of an eagle

Meiji Period
Cast in four sections, the bird of prey standing on a wave-lashed rock, with wings outstretched and glaring to the right, the one half of each wing detachable, the legs gilt, with talons and beak inlaid in shakudo; unsigned.
91cm (35¾in) high, including stand, the wing-span 93cm (36½in) across, the stand 42cm (16½in) high. (4).
