A bronze figural group

By Fuun, Meiji Period
Comprising a sumo-wrestler affixed to a rectangular elaborately-carved stand, standing feet apart, naked save for a loose tunic draped over his body, one hand on his hip, the other holding aloft a large vessel, a karako knelt at his feet, aghast as he admires his display of strength, signed with seal Fuun chu. 46½cm (18 1/8in) high.
