A tall Tokyo School bronze figure of a bijin

By Hosho/Takanobu, Meiji Period
Standing in geta and attired in an elegant long-sleeved kimono, her hair tied formally and dressed with kanzashi and combs, holding a lantern in her left hand and the hem of her garments in the other, signed with seal Hosho/Takanobu and another reading Isho toroku dai 1536 go (patented design, no.1536). 90.2cm (35½in) high.
