Of broad form, decorated in togidashi, kirigane, silver, gold and slight coloured takamakie with a continuous scene of four fishermen in a boat attempting to haul in an awabi diving girl having just emerged from the water with a large abalone shell, three overlapping shikishi form cartouches above, enclosing long inscriptions detailing the imaginary encounter of Genkyo Tenno with an awabi fishergirl; signed nanaju hachi sai o Koma Kansai saku; with gold lacquer two-part manju netsuke lacquered with sasa-no-ha; with wood storage box. 9.8cm (3 7/8in) high.
