A four-fold inlaid wood screen

By Shibata, Meiji Period
Each fold inset with a rectangular panel, enclosing a woman and two children at play, the details inlaid in bone, aogai and ivory, the figures include boys holding a halberd and takeume; women with origami crane and holding ikebana displays, the wood frame carved with floral sprays and birds; signed within an ivory reserve Shibata saku. 260cm x 159cm (102½in x 62 5/8in).
