Of baluster form and raised on a flared foot, the body inset with two shaped panels, one of a woman seated on a bench beside clumps of ajisai, smoking, whilst her young son plays at her feet; the other panel enclosing sparrows in flight above Autumnal plants set within landscape, with discreet details inlaid in ivory, togidashi, and e-nashiji; the neck and decorated with bands of geometric motifs, the rim with a band of kiku-heads inlaid in mother-of-pearl; signed in a raden reserve Ko...sai. 20.6cm (8 1/8in) high.
