Raised on four ivory bracket feet with a hinged door enclosing three drawers, each side decorated in typical Shibayama style with a different kacho-ga scene including a goose wading in a stream amongst flowering kiku and a long-tailed bird among blossoms, the door inset with an oval panel inlaid with Gyoran Kannon riding a giant carp, the drawers lacquered with assorted insects, applied with silver mounts and handle, signed in a raden reserve Masatoshi. 14½cm x 16½cm x 11cm (5¾in x 6½in x 4¼in).
