Each bearing a nashiji ground and decorated with scenes from the Genji monogatari, the suzuribako showing the corner of a pavilion by a stream with a banded hedge on the shore; the ryoshibako with a kara-guruma by a stream, the interiors with poem slips, all in takamakie, hiramakie, e-nashiji and togidashi; the suzuribako fitted with suzuri and gilt metal suiteki, unsigned. The suzuribako 24.4cm x 21.9cm x 5.4cm (9 5/8in x 8 5/8in x 2 1/8in); the ryoshibako 41cm x 31.8cm x 11½cm (16 1/8in x 12 3/8in x 4½in). (2).
