comprising 84 portraits; one watercolour depicting Ranjit Singh on horseback; five watercolour studies of birds; nine miniatures of Hindu deities; title page with six lines of nasta'liq calligraphy with floral illumination written in perhaps ironic praise of Honner and dated 1865, watercolour and gouache on paper, mounted in an album, gilt-stamped morocco

From an album of paintings collected by Augustus W. Honner, an officer in the Indian Army, the 1st Grenadiers, stationed in Bombay circa 1865.
