Composed of broad central blade of flattened diamond section dated 1712 on each side in a scroll near the tip, and two crescent-shaped side-blades, etched and engraved throughout on each side with foliated scrollwork inhabited by putti and masks, and at the centre of the base of the blade with a ciborium, all against a hatched ground retaining slight traces of gilding around the ciborium, tubular socket with three pronounced mouldings, two convex straps, and wooden staff covered with later blue velvet and studded with brass tacks (some surface pitting)
