With slightly curved blade double-edged towards the point and etched with scroll decoration within the double fullers along the back on each side, the lower fuller extending to the point, characteristic hilt with pommel encased in nielloed silver embossed and chased with scrolling foliage in relief against a finely stippled ground within beaded borders, and with rounded dark horn grips, in original wooden scabbard covered in black leather (minor repairs) with silver locket, chape and suspension mounts en suite with the pommel, the first with nielloed Arabic inscription on the inside, and with a ring for suspension
