A 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Trooper's Sabre Of The 10th Light Dragoons
By Woolley & Co., Birm.m., Circa 1800

With curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point, struck with a crowned '1' on one side at the forte and 'Woolley & Co.' on the back, regulation steel stirrup hilt, rounded pommel and back-piece in one, and later ribbed leather-covered grip, in original steel scabbard (dented) signed and engraved 'XLD' over 'D66' on one side at the throat, and with two rings for suspension (pitted throughout); together with a Waterloo medal with original steel clip and later suspension ring, renamed 'Thomas Martin, 10th Royal hussars', generally fine condition (2)
