Two Turkish 22-Bore Flintlock Holster Pistols, And Another Of 20-Bore
All 19th Century

The first with barrel damascened with silver foliage over half its length, engraved flat bevelled lock, stock entirely covered with silver filigree enriched with silver beads and small silver diamonds, the back of the butt set with four corals, spurred pommel (damaged) en suite, brass trigger-guard with cast decoration, muzzle-sleeve of filigree and foliate embossed silver, and no provision for a ramrod; the second with two-stage barrel gold-damascened along the top of the forward section and with arabesques along the top flats of the octagonal breech, rounded lock with roller and inlaid with a rectangular gold panel engraved with an Arabic inscription beneath inlaid gold foliage, rounded tail inlaid in gold with a bird at the base of a tree, and rounded cock and steel each inlaid with engraved gold foliage, and full stock (damaged and repaired) inlaid with silver wire scrollwork (side-plate replaced, spurred pommel, trigger-guard, rear ramrod-pipe and ramrod missing); the third with border engraved rounded lock (cock replaced) inscribed 'London', full stock (damaged and repaired), iron and white-metal mounts (side-plate replaced), and false ramrod (worn overall); together with a pair of reproduction Balkan all-metal flintlock pistols in cast brass (5)
