A Chinese Composite Bow, And A Large African Knife
The First Probably 18th Century, The Last Probably 19th Century

The first of recurved horn, the outer side faced with diagonal strips of bark, swelling grip retaining remains of leather and textile coverings, and with elongated wooden nocks retaining traces of original green-stained shagreen; the second with double-edged leaf-shaped blade, and waisted wooden hilt decorated with dome-headed copper nails and bound with copper ribbon (partly loose), in its original broad wood-lined leather scabbard bound with horizontal copper straps (2)
