Two Indian Matchlock Guns, A North African Matchlock Gun, A North African Snaphaunce Gun, And Two Decorative Indian Percussion Guns
The First Four 18th/19th Century

The first with 22-bore barrel (barrel bands later) with flared muzzle chiselled with foliage and retaining traces of gold-damascening, breech with chiselled decoration en suite, border engraved iron side-plates each with rear finial pierced and chiselled with foliage, pierced foliate trigger, and lacquered full stock (damaged) veneered in ebony inlaid with small ivory dots below the butt (worn overall); the second with barrel retained by four white-metal barrel bands and engraved 'Andrea Pedretti' in front of the breech, wooden three-quarter stock decorated with applied silver sheet, shaped panels and roundels on the butt (butt-plate missing, in poor condition); the third and fourth each of characteristic form (in poor condition); and the last two each with sighted barrel, plain lock, wooden half-stocks painted in polychrome overall with foliage against a black and light brown ground respectively, brass mounts, and iron ramrods (6)
