Two Indian Pesh-Kabz
Late 19th Century

The first with curved single-edged blade cut with a fuller along the back for most of its length on each side, brass-mounted hilt with bird's head pommel, and grip-scales of jadeite and shaped pieces of mother-of-pearl (minor losses) set in red and black pigment between brass lines, in original textile-covered wooden scabbard with brass locket and chape, the former with ring for suspension; the second with similar nickel-plated blade, white-metal mounted hilt with langets and small scrolled quillons, and similar grip-scales to the last with rounded pommel, in original wooden scabbard covered in purple velvet with white-metal locket and chape (2)
