A Pair Of Scottish 32-Bore All-Metal Flintlock Belt Pistols

With foliate scroll engraved four-stage barrels, faceted at the flared muzzles and fluted at the breeches, the former alternately decorated with border engraving and foliage, signed border engraved flat bevelled locks each decorated with scrolling foliage on the tail and bevelled cock (jaw screws old replacements), blued steel-springs, stocks engraved with characteristic foliate decoration and with line ornament enclosing further scrolling foliage between feathered designs and wrigglework divided by three inlaid engraved silver bands below the locks, lobe butts en suite and with border engraved vacant silver escutcheons, the pommels each inlaid with four engraved silver triangles centred on a silver roundel, silver button triggers each engraved with a floret, engraved belt hooks, later steel ramrods, and in fine condition (2)
