A Cranequin For A Gothic Crossbow
Circa 1500

With small enclosed gear-box with bevelled edge and a raised applied strap front and back (one with old repair), mounted on the upper side of the slender two-stage clawed ratchet-bar, the left side of the bar struck with a mark, curved winding bar with cylindrical wooden handle (wormed), and iron retaining loop
43 cm.
