Of box-lock pistol form, the body engraved with a martial trophy on each side and with a garland on one side, the rectangular pan with gutter-shaped extension on the left fitted with a sprung iron sconce held in the closed position by the steel and designed to flip up with a lighted candle on firing (top jaw and screw replaced), exposed trigger, threaded bipod, and partly chequered walnut butt with raised flat oval on each side and sparsely inlaid with silver wire
