A Pair Of Silver-Encrusted Rowel Spurs
Early 17th Century, Probably English

Of iron, each with slender tapering upcurved heel-band of plano-convex section with figure-eight terminals (two with minor fractures) retaining their original hooks and buckles, and downcurved moulded necks with petalled rowels each of six diamond section points, decorated overall with encrusted silver flowers, foliage and dots (minor wear) (2)
14.5 cm.
