comprising a silver and niello powder horn with incised floral motifs and ivory neck; an ivory powder horn carved with trefoil motif, the steel mounts with gold damascening decoration; a steel powder horn with bands of gold floral decoration; this lot also includes A Syrian silver and brass inlaid Powder Horn, 19th Century of rounded pear-shape and A silver Powder Horn, Central Asia, 19th Century

Footnotes

Provenance:
Acquired from the private collection of General Sukhotine in Belgium, 1952. The General, then a Lieutenant in the Russian army, was involved with the murder of Rasputin on 19th November 1916. He was Jacques Desenfans' neighbour.

Please note the ivory powder horn is the only lot in this group that would require a CITES permit for export.
