A rare pair of Qajar steel mail Trousers
Persia, 19th Century

made up of multiple shaped plaques, including circular, semi-circular, triangular and rectangular, domed knee guards with spikes, all linked by rivets, incised and inlaid with gold decoration consisting of scrolling floral vines and medallions bearing animals, secured to a pair of leather trousers; and A Bikaner mail Shirt, Deccan, 17th Century with short sleeves; and the mannequin
trousers approx. 102 cm. long; mail 71 cm.long(3)
