A gilt-bronze figure of Bhairajyaguru

18th century
Finely cast seated dhyanasana, with right hand in bhumisparsamudra, left hand supporting a bowl, his gentle face with prominent urna framed by pendulous ears beneath rows of curls that cover his head and usnisha, dressed in monastic robes, with chased scrolling-floral borders, pleated on his left shoulder and in front of him, his right shoulder bare, all supported on a double-lotus pedestal, bronze stand.
