A gilt-bronze figure of Vajradhara

15th century
The primordial buddha finely cast seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus pedestal, hands crossed at the wrists, holding a vajra in his right hand and a bell in his left, an elaborate tiara fronting his tall vajra-topped coiffure, his gentle features flanked by large earrings and pendants suspended from his tiara, a urna between his brows, adorned with inlaid-jewellery, wearing a simple dhoti, the back of the base bearing a Tibetan inscription, bronze stand.
