A bronze figure of Vajradhara

14th/15th century
The primordial buddha cast seated in dhyanasana with chakras displayed on the soles of his feet, hands crossed at the wrists, holding a vajra in his right hand and a bell in his left, a five-leafed diadem fronting his tall vajra-topped coiffure, a prominent urna displayed between his brows, above his downacast eyes ad gentle smile, his face gold-guilded, adorned with inlaid-jewellery and chains, wearing a simple dhoti, the figure affixed to a separately cast double-lotus plinth.
30cm (11 3/4in) high.
